Workshop on Symmetric Key Encryption

Call for Papers

Research papers on the following two topics are invited for submission

·        Presentations of stream cipher proposals submitted to the ECRYPT - Call for Stream Cipher Primitives

·        Work on technical aspects of fast primitives for symmetric key encryption: secret key ciphers, the design and cryptanalysis of block and stream ciphers, and its connections to message authentication codes (MACs).

The ECRYPT STVL Workshop on Symmetric Key Encryption is a public event within the ECRYPT project, organized in cooperation with the Dept. of Mathematics, DTU, Denmark and the Dept. of Information Technology, Lund University, Sweden.

Instructions for Authors

Submission Format: The submission should begin with a title, a short abstract, and a list of keywords. The length of the submission should be at most 12 pages excluding bibliography and appendices. It should use at least 11-point fonts and have reasonable sized margins. The introduction should summarize the contributions of the paper at a level appropriate for a non-specialist reader. Committee members are not required to read appendices; the paper should be intelligible without them. Submissions not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits.

Submission: Submitted papers must be in PDF or postscript format and should be submitted electronically to stvl2005@it.lth.se. In the email body should be included name and address as well as an email address to the corresponding author. Submission deadline: April 30, 2005.

Decisions and Presentation: Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors by May 13, 2005. Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their paper will be presented at the workshop.

A workshop record of accepted submissions will be available in electronic form. There will be no conference proceedings.
