Publications

I am a Professor and the Deputy Director at the Department of Mathematics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). My main interest of work is cryptology, in particular analysis and design of block ciphers, hash functions, and message authentication codes. I am head of the crypto group at DTU and was a partner manager of the research centre FICS (Foundations in Cryptology and Security) supported by the Danish National Science Research Council, grant no. 21-02-0093.

The International Association of Cryptologic Research (IACR) is the world-wide organisation for cryptologic researchers. I have served as an elected director in two periods, from January 2001 to December 2003 and from January 2004 until December 2006. The Journal of Cryptology is the official journal of the IACR. I'm an associate editor since 2003. The IACR organises three conferences every year, Crypto in Santa Barbara in August, Eurocrypt in Europe in spring and Asiacrypt in Asia in the fall. IACR also sponsors the workshops Fast Software Encryption (FSE), Public-Key Cryptography (PKC), CHES, and TCC. I am a member of the steering committee of FSE. I keep a list of how many submissions and accepted papers there are at six of the conferences and workshops.
